SUMBANGAN VETERAN TAK BERPENCEN (SVTB1M) - UPDATE 2
The first group of 600 Armed Forces veterans in Perak, who were eligible for the SVTB1M and had submitted their registration forms to JHEV, received the RM1,000 payment on Friday, 11 Jan 2013. The payment was officiated by YB. Menteri Pertahanan in Batu Melintang, Perak during the launch of the "Persatuan Veteran Tidak Berpencen Malaysia". Payment was made in the form of vouchers which they were able to change for cash at the mobile bank in situ.
The Government has provided RM224 million for the SVTB1M under the 2013 Budget. As at 31 Dec 2012, only 80,000 out of the 224,000 or so Armed Forces veterans who are not in receipt of pension and eligible for the SVTB1M, have submitted their registration forms to JHEV. Those who are yet to register can still submit their registration forms although the initial dateline was 30 Nov 2012.
JHEV is now making arrangements for the handing over of the vouchers to those who are eligible and have registered, at various locations throughout the country. Those who have registered and have received the acknowledgement from JHEV will be informed where and when to collect their vouchers.
RAFOC would like to urge all retired Armed Forces officers who are eligible for the SVTB1M, to submit their registration form to JHEV soonest. Do contact our RAFOC Secretariat (HP: 013-2069895) for any assistance required.
RAFOC is also making arrangement with JHEV for the retired Armed Forces officers attending the Forum "Sehari Bersama Panglima ATM", who are eligible and have registered with JHEV, to be given their vouchers during the forum on Wednesday, 23 Jan 2013 - a service by RAFOC.
Kindly send your details by return email or sms to our RAFOC Secretariat, if you have submitted your Registration Form to JHEV and attending the Forum on 23 Jan 2013 so that arrangement can be made for you to receive the payment on that day.
